Ray trained at the Medway College of Art and the St Alban’s School of Art. He spent many years teaching in both Secondary and Further Education. Ray’s work has been exhibited all over England and in France. There are works in private collections in six countries. One large painting hangs in the City of London Guildhall administration block and five hang in Hanbury Manor Hotel as part of an exhibition.
Ray’s work is a mixture of pure design with “Naturalistic Formalisation and Observation”. His work can be seen in J D Wetherspoon’s Port Jackson pub and in the Jackson Square shopping centre, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire.
